Reflections…

Through
The Mirror

You think you can
fool me

with those big, brown
eyes,

but I guess you don’t
realize

I can read you like
an open book

Your smile is so deceiving,

like a small child
trying to hide

that missing piece
of cake -

you can’t hide all
of your lies

Your heart is so warm,
but sometimes

you’re so childish
in your ways…

you can’t take the
heat, I don’t think

you really know what
love is

You appear so strong
on the outside,

but actually you’re
as helpless as a puppy

You’ve got a lot to
learn about love -

about me and my feelings

You try so hard to
please others,

maybe a little bit
too hard

I don’t think you’re
sure of who you

really are, or who
I really am

You’ve taught me some
good things, though…

how to laugh, how
to listen,

how to care, how to
think for myself

I don’t think I could
have made it

without you…
